Memories of summer and freedom we’re on my mind when I designed these two pieces. I grew up in Dallas Texas and Tampa Florida with my two younger siblings and I always looked forward to summer vacation from school. That instant that comes around once a year at 3pm on the last day of school always meant excitement and fun, late nights and BBQs. It seemed an appropriate visual message to deliver works which evoke life, harken back to unbridled joy where worldly dangers were far away.
